The citrus industry research priorities and needs are evaluated annually. This year the FCIRCC made some subtle changes in the category names to better reflect the scope of the priority. They examined closely the current list to determine if any existing areas needed to be removed or combined. With the arrival of Citrus Black Spot and Sweet Orange Scab they felt a priority for other diseases/pests was in order and thus added a priority item to cover potential threats to the Florida citrus industry.
